In this blog, I’m going to give you Four Principles for Adult Fitness Success. Applying these principles has been successful for me in my life, and they have been successful for many of our other adult members here, too. We’ve trained hundreds of adults who have lost fat, gotten stronger, and feel great about themselves because of our training and nutrition program. Training for Warriors is global, with over 18,000 people in 30 countries training daily. It is growing fast because it works and it’s empowering.

Here are your four principles for adult fitness success!

  1. Put yourself first. You’ve got to put yourself ahead of your other responsibilities in the

day. You’ve got to carve out the time. We are only talking about four hours a week! At Champions we say “Four Times Forever!” Which means you train four times a week…four hours…and you never stop! You’ve got a job, and you might have kids to drive around, but you have to say, “Listen, I’m taking care of myself so I can take care of the ones I love.” You and your long-term health come first.  When you’re eating in the car, running errands, and not exercising, you’re not going to feel great about yourself and look the way you want to look. You simply are not at your best.  There are 164 hours in a week and you need to train for just four of those hours. If you are still too busy, you may have some soul searching to do!

1. Overcome Your FEARS and SHOW UP. The second highest hurdle to get over is the fear that you will not be as fit or strong as others in the class. We understand that, but have the

expertise to get your through it. The workouts are tough, but safe, and we will teach and empower you. The Familia will welcome you and support you. The Training for Warriors System run by Champions has been proven at the highest level of sports, and all around the world. In the O’Connor family, we say “When in doubt, work out.” My dad lived to be 89 after contracting polio as a teenager. He had little to no muscles in his legs, but his daily workouts and lifelong commitment to his health were legendary, enabling him to outlive his life expectancy buy 30+ years. He had a goal to stay ahead of possible health problems later in life and you should too! Don’t let small pains keep you away from the gym either…Show up!

3. Eat a Whole Food Plant-Based Diet. No other training center, “Gym”, or fitness

program will tell you this…But Champions will. Guys, its science! Humans evolved to eat plants, not animals. The more calories you ingest from animals, the more health problems

you will have later in life, and the more inflammation you will cause in the short term. Champions nutrition and education platform has all the tools you need. You will get plenty of protein from a Whole Food Plant-Based Diet as well. The antioxidants, phytonutrients, and fiber you get from plants will increase your athletic performance and overall energy. Yes, you will Lose Fat Too! We will show you exactly what to eat and tell you why too!

4. Be patient. It’s a long road. It’s not about tomorrow or next week. It’s about two, five, even ten years down the road…So be patient! Some people have a lot more weight to lose than

others. Other just want to feel strong and sexy again. Wherever you are, it takes patience. And if there’s a stumbling block, like a “life” issue, kids schedules, or a previous injury, be determined to work through that. We’ve had hundreds of great success stories here, and every one of them started in their own unique place and grew stronger the longer they stayed with it. We have members who have been here 3 to 5 years, and they’re fabulously athletic now. They were not even close when they started but they now feel great about themselves, and it’s because they were patient in the program.
