CHAMPIONS IS PROUD TO INTRODUCE THE LAUNCH OF OUR
CHAMPIONS SOCCER ACADEMY
This program will serve the many elite soccer players in North Mecklenburg & Iredell County.
With an emphasis on quality and technical development, our Champions Soccer Academy will provide customized development programs to boys and girls aged 12+.
We will focus on small groups and private sessions to ensure program integrity.
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY!
The program focus on 3 specific areas for each individual
Improve technical ability and awareness in specific and identified areas. Technical ability is a differentiator as players get older, and an awareness of the specific technical attributes necessary to thrive in the competitive soccer landscape is imperative.
Improve tactical ability and competence in specific and identified areas. The tactical awareness of each player is critical. Each player has a role, and must be aware of their responsibilities in each of the different aspects of the game (with/without possession, attacking/defending/transition, high press/low block).
Discuss, identify and improve mindset before, during and after competition. A positive mindset is crucial, and an open and ongoing discussion about how to handle successes/ challenges is crucial to help the player process and positively learn from each experience.
Through our Parisi Speed School, Training for Warriors Adult Training Program, Physical Therapy, and Mental Performance partner, Champions is a true family training facility designed to empower each student in each session.
The Champions Soccer Academy will be led by former professional and collegiate NCAA D1 soccer player Martin Conway, and Champions own Logan Sandate. Martin has professional playing experience with Reading FC, Crystal Palace Brighton FC in England, and played collegiately at Marquette University. Martin holds numerous coaching certifications from the English FA & US Soccer. Logan played at the highest local Club levels, Hopewell High School, and went on to become a Team Captain at Catawba College. Logan is a full time Parisi Performance Coach, ATC, and holds her CSCS.
Both Martin and Logan bring a wealth of soccer experience to this program and are committed to helping local soccer players develop the range of skills necessary to thrive at the highest level.
